Frequency converter and motor testing
Overview
Electric and hybrid vehicles have many electronic and mechanical components, so overall performance evaluation requires efficiency measurement. WT1800E can perform the measurement of 6 power inputs, flexible operation and wide bandwidth, is the ideal tool for testing and evaluating the efficiency between the input and output of the inverter. Through the optional motor evaluation function, the WT1800E can measure the speed and torque changes.

Delta operation
By taking the sum and the difference between the instantaneous measurements of voltage and current for each cell, the line and phase voltages can be derived.
• Calculation of unmeasured line voltages and phase currents in a three-phase 3-wire system.
• Star-delta conversion: Use three-phase 4-wire data to calculate the line voltage from the phase voltage.
• Delta-star conversion: Phase voltage is calculated from line voltage in a three-phase 3-wire system (3V3A system)

features and advantages
High resolution display 6 input channels
Simultaneous measurements of up to 6 input channels can be performed at a speed of 2 MS/s(16 bits). The WT1800E has a high-resolution 8.4-inch XGA display, which can view up to 6 waveforms and display up to 12 pages of different measurement parameters, making the WT1800E an ideal tool for efficiency testing in inverter drive motors, renewable energy technologies, and traction applications (pumps, fans, and hybrid/electric vehicles, etc.). The WT1800E can also display the measurement results in a vector format or a trend graph.

Ensure accuracy over a wide range
Accurate measurement of voltage, current and frequency over a wide range. The basic power accuracy of the WT1800E can reach 1% to 110% of the selected voltage range and current range. This is equivalent to a voltage of 15mV to 1100V rms, a current of 0.1mA to 5.5Arms(5A input unit) and a current of 10mA to 55A rms(50A input unit). Since the influence of the low power factor error is minimized (apparent power ± 0.07%), the accuracy of the measurement can be guaranteed WT1800E under the conditions of large phase shift and high frequency.

Span Settings
Eliminating unnecessary range changes can make signal tracking faster. Through the WT1800E range setting function, users can select the input range according to their specific use case, so that the best range setting can be reached more quickly. This reduces the time taken to repeat the production test, such as the following settings that are often performed on the production line: set to OFF → 100V → OFF, etc.

harmonic analysis
Even if the data update period is only 50ms, the WT1800E can analyze up to 500 harmonics at the fundamental frequency of 50/60Hz. In addition to the power parameters, WT1800E also offer two options for harmonic analysis.

Power integration and auto-ranging
You can measure the energy purchase and sale of the grid or the charging and discharging of batteries. Through the power integration function, the WT1800E can integrate the positive and negative instantaneous values. WT1800E can also measure total energy (Wh) and current (Ah) when load conditions such as the device transitioning from standby to operating mode vary greatly. When an input signal starts to fall out of the expected range, this function can automatically adjust the range and continue to perform the integration of the measured value.

high speed data acquisition
Through the high-speed data acquisition function, the SigmaUrms, Sigma-Irms and Sigma-P of DC signals and three-phase equipment can be calculated every 5ms (external synchronization is set to OFF) or 1ms ~ 100ms (external synchronization is set to ON) according to the frequency of the clock signal.

Flexible & Automatic Data Updates
The measurement cycle can be set manually or automatically. You can set 9 data update cycles between 50ms and 20s, and you can also follow the fluctuation of the input frequency to automatically change the data update rate. This feature is especially useful when measuring devices where the input signal frequency depends on RPM, such as motors.
