Micro friction coefficient test vehicle uGT
Developed by Findlay-Owen, UK, to measure the coefficient of friction of any pavement or painted marking walking area. The micro friction coefficient test vehicle measures the friction coefficient at driving speed worldwide based on the same principle as the friction coefficient test equipment.
◆ Pavement
◆ Outer friction monitoring
◆ Field comparison
◆ Accident scene
◆ Use of recovery area
◆ Sidewalk area
◆ Paint marking
◆ Hole cover

Components of the miniature friction coefficient test car:
◆ Two drive wheels, connected by a drive shaft;
_One measuring wheel;
A signal processing unit (SPU) is installed on the drive shaft;
A user interface unit includes: touch screen LCD, on/off and start/stop;
A water system: water to the measuring wheel;
◆ A push handle, a device above the miniature friction coefficient measuring car.
Advantages
Findlay-Irving has improved the miniature coefficient of friction test vehicle, which allows engineers to measure any position on the surface in a continuous test. The miniature coefficient of friction test vehicle is based on the same: GripTester uGT-this has been widely used in the world The 15% slip rate measuring wheel principle is used to measure the coefficient of friction. Built-in touch screen is easy to use, storage results: directly stored in the hard disk or on the USB. This allows the operator to directly save the measurement results and view them on any computer.
The latest helicopter platform friction coefficient testing technology has included: using the brake wheel technology, the ability to electronically control the humidity of the platform during the test, including electronic data collection, storage and processing, can cover the entire platform with a resolution of less than 1.2 meters. The average minimum friction coefficient value inside and outside the landing and positioning mark shall be 0.65. This ensures that all helicopter platforms are consistent with the existing plane coefficient of friction standards, and allows the operator to monitor their level, and when the level starts to drop, effectively take action to continuously improve and maintain safety.
This is a cost-effective, dynamic choice for offshore platform measurements:
_Single operation (weight <21kg);
_Continuous measurement (every 25mm);
◆ Self-wetting;
◆Stability;
◆ Same test principle as GT;
◆ Same test tire as GT;
_Integrated GPS;
◆ No user calibration required, meeting the CAP437 standard;
Annual qualification provided by Findlay Irvine.
