SBM MAX FPSO ONE GUYANA CONSTRUCTION START!

FPSO operator SBM Offshore has begun construction of the upper module for ONE GUYANA FPSO, its largest FPSO to date.
SBM Offshore held a commencement steel plate cutting ceremony at Keppel FELS and DynaMac shipyards. This was an important milestone, marking the start of the construction of the hull structure and the upper module.
ExxonMobil approved the Yellowtail project in April 2022 and subsequently signed a contract confirmation with SBM to provide FPSO for the project.
The FPSO will be designed to produce 250000 barrels of oil per day, with an associated gas processing capacity of 0.45 billion cubic feet per day and a water injection capacity of 300000 barrels per day. The FPSO vessels will be dispersedly moored at a water depth of about 1800 meters and are capable of storing about 2 million barrels of crude oil. Production time is expected in 2025.
